Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Front Office Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, be familiar with HIPAA regulations, and have basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect necessary payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of all documentation
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely communication
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Utilize electronic medical record system to input and retrieve patient information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in medical administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or in a similar role, preferably in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
