INFORMATION SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

1. Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and operating systems.

a. Conducting regular system updates and patches.

b. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues

c. Managing and troubleshooting issues related to DNS and DHCP.

d. Implementing and managing Active Directory services.

e. Configuring and maintaining domain controllers and group policies.

f. Monitoring and analyzing system logs for potential issues.

2. Planning and executing server migrations and upgrades.

3. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.

4. Implementing and managing file and print services.

5. Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows desktops, operating systems and applications. This includes Installing and updating software applications.

a. AVID

c. Laredo

d. TN3270 (Vital Records)

e. ESET Antivirus

f. Scanning applications

g. Conducting regular system updates and patches.

h. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues

7. Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control in various systems

a. Windows

8. Installing configuring and maintaining firewall and network devices.

a. Cisco ASA 5525 Firewall: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary

b. Cisco Network Switches: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary

c. Ubiquiti Cloudkey and Wireless Access points: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary

d. Untangle content filter: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary

e. Managing and troubleshooting network protocols and services.

9. Installing configuring and maintaining Network Attached Storage

a. Presently this is an EMC solution.

b. Since Fidlar is hosting both AVID and APEX, we should consider moving to a Windows File Server Solution as a cost saving measure over time

10. Backup and recovery planning to ensure data integrity.

a. Currently being updated with new hardware (Barracuda Appliance) which includes cloud storage.

b. Also working with other offices to identify a place for offsite storage of backups.

c. Implementing and managing system backups and data retention policies.

11. Collaborating with other IT professionals to ensure network connectivity.

a. State IT Staff for Vital Records

b. City IT Staff for Access to UKG and Oracle

12. Provide technical support to end-users.

a. This can be anything: login failures, access problems, printing issues, issues with credit card machines,

13. Documenting system configurations

14. Implementing virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V).

15. Performing system audits and ensuring compliance with security standards.

a. Quarterly PCI compliance scans

16. Collaborating with vendors for hardware and software procurement.

a. Most hardware and software purchases are done through SHI who currently has the State of Missouri PC Prime Vendor Contract

b. Network purchases/maintenance contracts are done through World Wide Technologies who currently has State of Missouri Networking contract

17. Automating routine tasks through scripting (e.g., PowerShell).

18. Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in IT administration.

19. Conduct/coordinate training sessions for end-users

20. Investigate and resolve security incidents and breaches.

21. Work with Management and Employees to identify and implement solutions for various technology related problems within the office

22. Track software license purchases and use

23. Work with Archives and Vitals on the conversion and importing of marriage licenses into APEX. Working to correct indexing errors in APEX

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
