St. Louis County is Hiring a Maintenance Lead/Site Coordinator - Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex Near Creve Coeur, MO

This position is located at St. Louis County Parks’ Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex. The complex is home to 13 synthetic turf fields and 1 natural grass field. The complex regularly hosts local, regional and national youth soccer events throughout the year. This position will require selected applicant to work primarily day shifts, but will include some evening and weekends as necessary.The typical starting salary range is between $16.16 - $19.93 hourly depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Manages the maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds at the Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex.Supervises and performs routine work such as grooming and maintaining the complex’s 13 synthetic turf fields, mowing/trimming grass throughout the complex, restroom maintenance, responsibility for sink/toilet systems, athletic field lighting and trash removal, etc.Supervises and performs routine maintenance on County equipment including trucks, tractors and mowers.Performs safety inspections and enforces safety regulations.Offers input for budget considerations.Responsible for ensuring a safe, pleasant experience for park visitors.Supervises and coordinates activities of full-time maintenance personnel and on-call laborers.Administers program site by ensuring area is properly set up and broken down for field rentals and tournaments. Assists in the coordination of field rentals/tournaments as necessary.Establishes work priorities and schedules as needed.Performs related work as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT: A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant which will include recentness and appropriateness of the applicant's education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions, results of employment references investigated and any other appropriate information available. The selection committee will admit to the interview only those persons who possess the most job related qualifications and may establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications stated above. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant's earned grade. A candidate must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. After initial interviews with the selected candidates are conducted, an email will be sent to the address on file with instructions on how to complete and submit a Conviction Questionnaire. Candidates have 3 days to complete the required questionnaire. The five top ranking candidates, based on the final grade, will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority who will make the final decision. All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory. The cost of screening will be covered by the County.
