The basics of this position :
Seeking an individual to serve as a peer mentor and outreach specialist to a minority group of Deaf and hard of hearing students enrolled in the Career and Technical Education programs offered at STLCC.
What you'll do :
Establish a supportive working relationship with Deaf and hard of hearing students. Lead activities and workshops to foster learning and success within CTE programs.
Provide direct student support to students using their native language.
This may include providing workshops, creating video content, email outreach, and department in services.
Education, experience, and other requirements :
Fluent in American Sign Language
Preferred Qualifications :
An individual who is Deaf or hard of hearing.
