The basics of this position :

Under the guidance of the Marketing and Communications Manager, Workforce Solutions Group, the Communications Specialist will develop and implement Workforce Solutions Group's email communications and campaigns, manage and grow email databases, and provide light graphic design work to support the department's marketing and communications initiatives.

The specialist will also produce the bi-annual continuing education catalog and supporting marketing materials in collaboration with the program management and staff.

What you'll do :

  • Prepares, rewrites and edits email copy according to established brand, editorial and Associated Press style.
  • Social media writing and posting.
  • Other graphic and design projects as necessary or assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2 years experience in publications, marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, web content management (e.g., OU Campus, WordPress or other) and email distribution platforms (e.

g., Constant Contact or other).

  • Practical knowledge and experience supporting brands and visual identities.
  • Entrepreneurial, creative and able to solve problems.
  • Some social media experience preferred.
