The basics of this position :

Performs administrative duties of moderate complexity.

Performs functions of typing, filing, recordkeeping, and answering phones in a

department office; orders supplies; may greet students, staff, and visitors. May

administer tests and provide technical assistance to program managers.

What you'll do :

Prioritizes and provides skilled typing services to ensure accurate and timely

completion of all clerical tasks such as correspondence, reports, instructional

materials, and college forms.

  • Maintains filing system to ensure accurate and complete department records.
  • Orders supplies and maintains inventory.
  • May greet students, staff and visitors to provide information and ensure delivery of

Screens phone calls, answering questions or forwarding to appropriate personnel.

May prepare pay documents and forms.

  • May make appointments for department personnel.
  • May administer tests.
  • May use sign language skills in performance of duties.
  • Uses typewriter, telephone, CRT / PC, copier, calculator.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements :

High School Diploma or equivalent and over three (3) months of full-time general

clerical experience.

Must pass skills assessment at the basic level of proficiency in

Microsoft Word 2000 software.
