SUMMARYPrepares St. Labre rental units for new residents and assists in maintaining rental units. Performs deep cleaning duties and minor maintenance by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
PAINTING1. Paints interior and exterior of houses by performing the steps:
- Removes all fixtures; lights, wall décor, fan covers, hardware, cover plates, knobs etc so the entire surface can be painted.
- Masks off all areas that are not to be painted; places drop cloths on the floor, and all furnishings in the area being painted.
- Repairs all damaged areas; fills all nail holes, cracks and joints with appropriate material.
- Removes loose paint, sands, washes, and prepares the surface as needed to be ready for painting.
- Primes surface with appropriate product; paints the surface.
- Removes and disposes of masking material; removes drop cloths and clean the work area.
- Reinstalls fixtures: lights, wall decor, cover plates, hardware etc.
- Cleans equipment and store per manufacturer's instructions; triple rinses empty cans and disposes of them; labels partial can and return to storage.
- Records job progress and completion and all products and materials used.
PREPARING HOUSE FOR RENTAL- Washes ceilings, walls, shelves, cabinets, cupboards, closets and light fixtures as needed.
- Cleans window sills and washes windows inside and out.
- Cleans heaters or deflectors.
- Cleans the range, refrigerator, dishwasher, laundry washer and dryer.
- Cleans the sinks, bathtub, bathtub surround and the toilet.
- Vacuums and shampoos the carpets.
- Cleans and waxes the vinyl floors.
- Clean drapes and blinds as needed.
- Installs window coverings.
- Performs minor maintenance, i.e.; caulking, loose or missing screws, nail pops, window cranks, screens, cover plates, light covers, wall repairs, etc.
- Prepares a work order for repairs that require a special or licensed trade.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; and
One to six months related experience and/or training preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Ability to read and comprehend written instruction, memos and short correspondence.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present and receive information that is spoken.
- Ability to perform basic math functions, measure and calculate.
- Knowledge of various types of finishes, their appropriate application and proper tools for application.
- Knowledge of safety issues involved with any material used.
- Ability to use paint spraying and power equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, their use and safety issues concerning their use.
- Strong social and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate colors and style.
- Respects the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ in private, personal, and public life.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid Montana driver's license required.
