Art Teacher

This is a part time position for students in grade Pre-K-8 for the 2023-2024 school year. 

St. Jude School, located in South Bend, is a vibrant school community with 225 students Pre-K through 8th grade. We have one class for each grade level, with a strong special education department that makes St. Jude a place for all children to learn

Ideal candidate will:

-Be a part of a vibrant, Catholic, faith-filled educational community.

-Foster a love for art 

-Collaborate with general education teachers to create cross curricular units

-Utilize the Indiana Academic Standards and our Diocesan Curriculum

-Plan and implement differentiated, standards-based lessons for students with a Mild or Moderate Disability as well as students above grade level 

-Possess strong behavior management skills.

-Have the ability to provide effective whole group instruction as well as small group instruction

-Communicate consistently and professionally with students, parents, staff, & administration

-Possess an active Indiana teaching license, Emergency Permit, or be working toward licensing

-Participate in diocesan and school improvement goals including professional development
