Qualified Painter/ Maintenace Assistant

This position provides general labor and assistance to the Maintenance Department to help ensure that the center’s physical structure, grounds, and equipment are maintained in optimal condition. A big Part of this position involves a lot of painting. It requires a QUALIFIED PAINTER / Maintenance Assistant.

• Performs painting and aesthetic improvements to maintain a clean and well presenting facility. Must have experience with professional painting and general maintenance.
• Updates the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) manual and understands all aspects of safe chemical usage, including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
• Comprehends the center’s Performance Improvement initiatives and applies new interventions as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform all tasks assigned in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Responds to emergency maintenance needs in a prompt manor.
• Maintains and applies updated knowledge of equipment and plant functions.
• Maintains the confidence of resident information and center information.
• Maintains open and productive communication systems with peers, families, vendors and other staff members. • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years physical plant and equipment maintenance experience in an institutional environment.
• Professional painting and aesthetic improvements.

This is a part time position. The hourly rate is up to $26.00 per hour
