St. Joseph Missouri is Hiring an Asset Managment Coordinator **INTERNAL ONLY Near Saint Joseph, MO

Job Summary/Scope
Oversees the department's asset and work management program and ensures the accurate collection and reporting of infrastructure asset data, including training on each system, report generation and analysis of data for management decision making. Work includes creating and maintaining asset management information from collected data, plans and files; overseeing complete asset records; and conducting quality control based on established methods. Will create maps from asset data and the City’s GIS system. Utilizing AUTOCAD, GIS, and CARTEGRAPH.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists supervisors and managers with configuring of system modules, developing reports and data collection that support asset management procedures and processes.
Produces reports, graphs, maps and queries from work management, project database and the City’s GIS system in support of City departments.
Liaison with Information Technology staff with coordinating software updates, training, customization of application modules, storage of department data, developing reports and other technical needs and issues.
Facilitates meetings of the department's ongoing asset management committee and keeps senior leadership informed of the status of meeting infrastructure asset goals.
Liaison with other city departments utilizing work management applications, helping with training, customization of modules, developing procedures and creating reports.
Any other duties as required by the supervisor. Performs any additional duties as required during emergency and/or incident operations.
Conducts trips to the field to inspect city assets, works with other Public Works divisions, to input data management and assets into each perspective program.

Required (Essential) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient in the usage of asset management software, computerized mapping software and methods (AUTOCAD, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, AGOL), and project management software.
Develop and present reports, training and informational presentations to staff as well as members of the public.
Ability to collect and organize field data; train and verify the work of others; create training guides.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, governmental and industrial officials, consulting engineers, and the public.
Ability to acquire basic knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
Valid Driver's License required.
Materials and Equipment Directly Used
Uses a wide range of materials and office equipment such as computer with various software applications, printers, and copiers. Also uses a wide range of tools when conducting asset gathering in the field. There may be times when use of personal vehicle may be required.
Working Environment/Physical Requirement
Work is performed in an office setting with a controlled environment. Required to perform field visits in a wide range of weather conditions. Must be able to routinely lift objects weighing up to thirty pounds, occasionally lift objects weighing 50 pounds with assistance. Some overnight or day travel may be required for business purposes. Vacation and other leave scheduling shall be requested of and approved by the appropriate supervisor.
Education
Associate’s Degree in GIS/AUTOCAD or related field preferred.
Minor in GIS/AUTOCAD/Program Management or related field preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in GIS/AUTOCAD/Program Management or related field preferred.
Passing of a drug screening required prior to appointment.
