We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT to join our award-winning team!

Position Summary:

  • Applies scientific knowledge and theory to practical clinical problems of respiratory care, assumes clinical responsibility for respiratory care modalities specific to a clinical area.
  • Supervises Respiratory Therapy Technicians and students enrolled in respiratory care programs.
  • May be required to exercise independent clinical judgement in the respiratory care of patients under the direct or indirect supervision of a physician.
  • Participates in continuing education as mandated by the State of New York, maintaining current knowledge and skills related to specific areas of practice.
  • Completes population-specific competency annually as identified in scope of care and service.
  • Rotating shifts- On-call rotation for weeknights, weekends and holidays is required. Both 40 and 36 hour work weeks available!

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited program in respiratory care.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and license (or limited permit) from the State of New York to practice as Respiratory Therapist.
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapists who are not credentialed by the NBRC may also be considered with a 5% reduction in salary until RRT credential is achieved.
  • Graduate therapists who hold a permit to practice as a Respiratory Therapist, but are not credentialed by the NBRC, may also be considered with a 5% reduction in salary until the RRT credential and NYS Respiratory Therapist license are both obtained.

Compensation:

  • Sign-on bonus: up to $15,000
  • Pay Range: $34.05 - $48.00 per hour
  • Shift differential: $3.00 per hour for evening shift, $5.00 per hour for overnight shift
  • Base pay and sign-on bonus are based on experience, skills, and education - Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
