Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher's Aide to join our team and support our educational programs. The Teacher's Aide works with and under the direction of a classroom teacher to provide assistance in the implementation of the instructional program.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with teachers to support classroom activities and lesson plans

- Classroom preparation
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional help
- Help students with literacy and math skills development
- Support classroom management and organization
- Contribute to creating a safe and nurturing educational setting

Assists in the supervision of students and must maintain an environment of safety and security.

Skills:

- Experience working with students, preferably in a classroom or childcare setting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in assisting educators to educate students effectively
- Familiarity with literacy education practices

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have a basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic School philosophy, goals and objectives
2. Must have a basic understanding of child development and skills necessary to relate to the students being serviced.
3. Must be able to use the control and discipline techniques that are established for the classroom.
4. Must work cooperatively with the assigned teacher and other staff.
5. Must have the following education, training and experience
a. High school diploma.
b. One year of experience working with children.
c. Positive references and recommendations.
d. Criminal background check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 19 per week
