A Peer Substance Abuse Counselor will work with both behavioral and primary care providers to deliver services that are geared toward helping clients in the development of healthy life choices. The Peer Substance Abuse Counselor assists clients in the development of strengths-based recovery goals and provides information on ways to maintain personal wellness and recovery. The Peer Substance Abuse Counselor works collaboratively with other members of the care team to provide these services. The Peer Substance Abuse Counselor promotes hope and provides support as clients work toward attainment of goals.
This position is Grant Funded. The Grant is scheduled to expire in September 30, 2026. The grant may or may not be funded again after that date. Your employment beyond the grant expiration date is not guaranteed. Should the grant not be funded, you are eligible and encouraged to apply for another position within the agency.
