The Scheduling Administrator is responsible for scheduling nursing staff for all shifts and manages full time, part time and agency personnel requests. The Staffing Administrator will communicate with staff and management, fill last minute shift requests, address shift cancelations as well as no-shows.Communicates openly with other staff in the department regarding scheduling, availability, attendance, and larger-scale issues.Ensures schedules are issued in a timely manner monthly.Adequately staff each unit and utilize per diem, floats and agency, as needed.Keep the Senior Director and AVP of Nursing informed of all staffing issues.Handle and respond promptly to incoming calls and emails from staff.Update changes to the schedule as needed.Ensure that each shift has the appropriate number of nursing staff working to meet staffing ratios.Review requests for time off and provide written approvals in a timely manner.Assists department managers with staffing schedules.Works closely with nursing leadership to ensure schedules are submitted on time.Maintains schedules by pay period.
Manages Earned Benefit Time (EBT), personal days, holidays and is responsible for the maintenance of adequate nursing coverage.Receive and triage callouts and maintain call out/ time off tracking.Creates, edits, and maintains nursing schedules in established scheduling format.Maintains nursing roster and communicate weekly schedules to nursing leadershipKeep up to date on new hires, transfers, agencies, and resignations on nursing schedules.Performs other related assigned duties. Performs unrelated duties in times of emergency.
High School Diploma required. Will be required to enroll in a Bachelor’s degree program if no post-secondary education completed. Scheduling experience highly preferred.
