We are seeking a STAFF PHARMACIST to become a part of our team! You will prepare and dispense medication to patients at our community pharmacies, located within our primary medical care site.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations governing the operation of the respective pharmacy.
• Maintains records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
• Oversee pharmacy service delivery.
• Ability to compound prescription medication. 
• Process and accurately dispense prescription orders.
• Provide medication counseling to patients, addressing their questions and concerns, and promoting medication adherence.
• Making proper decisions concerning generic substitution of medicines that are prescribed.
• Following established departmental rules, procedures, policies, quality-improving objectives, environmental, safety or infection controlling standards.
• Adhere to protocols concerning pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and ensuring proper storage of medications and supplies.
• Facilitate a ‘team’ culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Provide functional supervision of support staff.
• Adapt to change and adjust plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
• The schedule will involve working across various pharmacies in the southern region, which includes Bellaire, Sugar Land, and Dickinson.
• Willingness to commute to other clinic pharmacies in the north region as needed (Conroe, Greenspoint, Northwest)
• Flexibility to work Saturday rotations (8am to 1pm)

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Degree from an Accredited University or College.
• License Requirement: Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Texas. 
• Pharmacy Experience – Prefer at least 1 year of specialty pharmacy experience.
• Compounding Experience - Certified in compounding with at least 1 year of compounding experience. 
• AAHIVP Certification – A requirement to be achieved after 1 year of employment.
• Computer proficient, excellent written and verbal skills.
• Work with frequent interruptions.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Detailed oriented and organized.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus
• Ability to provide coverage at other clinic pharmacy sites as a staff floater pharmacist.
• Flexibility to work up to two Saturdays a month (8am to 1pm)

Working Conditions

• The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight may be required
