Long-term Substitute Middle Level Science Teacher
St. George School is a community-centered PreK-8 public schoo l located in picturesque Mid-
Coast Maine. We are committed to academic excellence, community engagement,
Expeditionary Learning , and teachers working in teams to innovate, educate, and develop as
professionals.
We are looking for a Long-term Substitute Middle Level Science Teacher to join our school
community for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year beginning on May 13, 2024 . This person
will be responsible for teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science. Our middle level science program
emphasizes problem solving and real-world applications and uses an inquiry-based model with a
focus on integration across content areas. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of middle
school students’ social-emotional development, strong classroom management skills, and enthusiasm
for engaging and challenging learners at all levels.
