Opportunity

Acuity is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a permanent, part-time Courier position in our Riverview Genetics boar stud in Centralia, IL.

This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions but is not limited to:

• Driving and picking up the product(s) at a facility near Centralia, IL, and delivering to locations in IL.
• Pick up semen from the boar stud and deliver it to client sow farms at the designated time and following the predetermined route.
• Ensure all semen handling protocols are followed and any deviations are reported to boar stud and other site managers.
• Adhere to all bio-security procedures that safeguard the health and well-being of our assets.
• Oversee the execution of delivery of biological samples from the boar stud to our independent testing laboratory.
• Ensure that all best management practices are consistent with commonly accepted standards for welfare and safety.
• Loading and unloading vehicles,
• Complying with strict biosecurity protocols set out by Acuity,
• Adhering to all safety and traffic laws,

The successful candidate would ideally possess the following qualifications and experiences:

• Flexible to a changing schedule or work varied daily hours and days per week,
• Reliable and a team player,
• Excellent organizational and communication skills,
• Good time management skills,
• Ability to lift 50 pounds,
• Ability to drive-in all-weather conditions,
• Exhibit safe and courteous driving habits,
• Valid Driver s License with a clean driving record,
• Shares in Acuity s core values.
• This position starts at $12/hour. A company vehicle will be provided.
