Position Summary: The Sr. Product Manager will guide and support internal stakeholders, including management of a product team, to assist with sales administration, marketing of products (domestically and internationally) and the development of new products to help the company increase sales volume, market share and profits while improving product performance, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, ease of operation, quality, and aesthetics throughout the product's lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive product development to design new products, modify existing designs, and improve production techniques through competitive comparisons/analysis
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of competitors, allied industry OEMs, and new technologies which may improve operations and develop recommendations accordingly
  • Analyze the industry competitors, technology trends and market demand to plan product development, options, and performance enhancement
  • Maintain market share reporting statistics for LeeBoy, territory and dealer areas of responsibility with all product Segments
  • Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts
  • Collaborate with management, production, marketing, and customer service staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
  • Forecast product profitability, costs (material and labor), and operating costs while participating in preparation of Product Development Authorization (PDS) process and team justifying product creation
  • Advise management of all developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations
  • Develop Marketing and Communication material with support of the Marketing Team and mutually coordinate new product launches
  • Actively participate in Trade Shows, Trade associates and Product demonstrations
  • Develop, maintain, and perform product and application training for internal, dealer, and contract staff
  • Responsible for all LeeBoy site visits by dealers and contractor for training, productions tours, and proving ground demonstrations
  • Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
  • Carry out additional duties and occasional project work as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage one or more subordinates
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities many include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/business management/marketing or similar work experience or combination
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant industry experience in engineering/product management/application support
  • Experience in leading or managing cross functional teams supporting the development of product is a plus
  • Should have a solid working knowledge of ERP/MRP business software for BOM structure, costing and planning, and Microsoft Office suite proficiency

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada to meet with customers and support trade shows.
