Description
2nd Grade Homeroom Teacher- St. Elizabeth Catholic School is seeking a 2 nd grade teacher for the
academic year 2024-2025. Qualified candidates possess a passion for Catholic education,
enthusiasm for working with second grade students and hold a current teaching license.
Teachers interested in joining an innovative and faith-filled team of educators should apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
- Plans for instruction with specific student objectives and sequenced instruction based on the approved curriculum using appropriate materials and resources for students to engage in learning
- Maintains a positive learning environment and sets high standards for behavior within the classroom and building
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and parents to address academic and/or behavioral needs
- Promotes positive relationships and effective communication with all staff, parents and students
- Demonstrates professional work habits by regular attendance, honoring schedules/deadlines, organization and completing assigned tasks in an effective and efficient manner
- Actively supervises and provides for the safety, welfare and care of students
- Maintains detailed and accurate records as required by the school
- Serves on committees and performs other duties as directed by the Principal
Requirements
Holds a valid teaching certificate
All candidates must:
- Complete Protecting God’s Children Training
- Complete a Background Check
- Acknowledge and sign Ethics and Integrity in Ministry Code
