Applicant should be prepared to teach concert band, and possibly an additional course like jazz band or class piano. Strong background in wind conducting is pivotal. Experience with guiar, piano, and/or music technology is a plus. Band students will perform in four major concerts throughout the year, in addition to festivals and contests. Directing pep band and drum line during football and basketball seasons, as well as pit orchestra in musical theatre productions, are additional responsibilities (for an additional stipend).
Applicants must possess a Bachelor or Master degree and hold an Illinois Professional Educator Licensure.
