Teacher Opening: Fifth Grade Teacher

St. Dunstan School, an Archdiocesan Catholic school in Millbrae, is seeking an exceptional teacher for our Fifth Grade. A valid teaching credential, along with a minimum of two years teaching experience, is preferable. We are looking for a talented, creative, hard-working, team player with a broad range of skills, along with an appreciation of developmental characteristics of elementary aged students to join our strong faculty as a fifth grade teacher.

St. Dunstan School is a K-8 school that provides an excellent Catholic education. Combining deep-rooted traditions and current best practices, the school is dedicated to educating the whole child so that he or she may be successful in the 21st century.

Educators focus on teaching the students to be creative leaders, honorable, responsible, respectful, helpful, intellectually engaged, trustworthy citizens, with a strong Catholic identity. The school community is seeking a qualified fifth grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time exempt position.

Under the direction of the Holy Ghost Fathers, the faculty encourages students to have a strong Catholic identity as they strive to be creative leaders, honorable and responsible students, respectful and helpful classmates, intellectually engaged scholars, and trustworthy citizens. In partnership with parents, we provide a student-centered program of faith formation and academic achievement.

The Candidate The ideal candidate must have the ability to develop engaging and innovative lessons that allow our students to grow academically, socially and emotionally. Incorporating technology and hands-on learning experiences into the classroom with enthusiasm, as well as coordinating and working with both administration and colleagues is an expectation. Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing as well as excellent classroom management skills are required.
