Job Title : Manager Security Job Summary :

• Responsible for the day to day supervision and operation of assignments in Security Department. Make decisions that affect the division, department and/or OLOLRMC financial and performance objectives and strategic results. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Experience, Education, Training, Special Skills, and Licensure :

• 3 years supervisory experience in the field or in a related area.
• Associate's Degree or higher.
• IAHSS certified must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. IAHSS Supervisor certification within one year of employment. Valid LA Drivers License.

Job Function :

1. Leadership and Supervision
   1. Assists in the effective hiring and training process for department staff.
   2. Assigns and monitors staff work and work schedules according to department policy.
   3. Maintains appropriate data on employee attendance for payroll/ATM
   4. Address employee behavioral issues timely and effectively. Participates in or completes performance review process in a timely and effective manner.
   5. Monitor the performance improvement program with in the department.
   6. Ensure that goals and objectives of the Security department are administered and consistent with Director's expectations.
   7. Demonstrates ability to coach and mentor staff.
2. Evaluation and Analysis
   1. Identifies ways of improving current services and consults with Director on employee and operational issues and problems.
   2. Evaluates and recommends education programs for department.
   3. Follows up and investigates security incident reports and updates Director.
   4. Maintains and analyzes records, reports and statistics as required.
3. Quality
   1. Provides quality training and orientation for assigned employees, informs co-workers of relevant departmental policies and procedures, and allocates tasks to co-workers as needed. Treats all co-workers with compassion, understanding, and respect, and strives to enhance co-worker performance through cooperative effort and action.
   2. Develops departmental policies and procedures.
   3. Maintains knowledge of JACHO and Fire Marshall codes standards.
