Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will assist the endoscopy team through case preparation, procedural assistance, and the after care of patients, equipment, and supplies. You will provide gastrointestinal diagnostic testing and pain management procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. You will assist before, during and after procedures by performing direct and indirect patient care.

  • You will assist with patient intake and ensure all documentation on the pre-procedure checklist is complete and accurate
  • You will transfer patients to the procedure room and assist with positioning patients
  • You will prepare procedure rooms using knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
  • You will assist with room cleanup and sterilization after the procedure
  • You will assist the team with sample collection, dilation, and polypectomy during Endoscopy procedures
  • You will maintain inventory and equipment and ensure appropriate supply levels
What qualifications you will need:
  • 1 year of experience in Endoscopy or Surgery
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) – preferred
