Job Juncture is Hiring an Emergency Services Manager Near Austin, TX

Job description: The Emergency Department, Free-Standing Emergency Department, and/or Urgent Care Manager maintains 24-hour accountability for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of activities of the staff. Ensures patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physicians and the Hospital policy and procedures. Coordinates the organizational improvement activities of the nursing unit. Oversees the development, review and revision of policies, procedures and practices guidelines. Assists the Director in overseeing the financial operation of the department. Maintains knowledge of current practice standards with regards to care of the Emergency patient. You will integrate department services with the hospitals primary functions. You will maintain appropriate quality control programs. You will provide for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in the department. You will oversee and review the development of monthly schedules. You will, while working with the Department Director or Charge Nurse, help to resolve concerns of staff, ancillary departments, patients, physicians and families. You will collaborate with Directors, Managers and staff of other nursing units and ancillary departments to ensure continuity of patient care and to prevent or resolve problems. You will, in conjunction with the House Supervisor, Department Director or Charge Nurse assure that patient care assignments are made according to the nurses skill, acuity and staffing availability and based on the State licensing law and Hospital policy.
