St. Croix Preparatory Academy is Hiring a Summer Program Instructor Near Stillwater, MN
- 18 years old at time of Summer Fun Program
- St. Croix Prep Senior or Graduate
- CPR/First Aid Training (recommended)
- Desire and ability to work and play with children in indoor and outdoor settings
- Experience working and communicating with children and adults in an employment or volunteer setting
- Responsible and reliable
- Comfort and ability in leading a variety of team-building and fun activities
- Must be available on a flexible schedule and may need to occasionally work weekends
- Willing to work at multiple locations
- Access to transportation (bus transportation will be provided for most field trips)
- Lead off-site field trips led by outside organizations while managing students
- Lead Summer Fun on-site high-quality programming for students K-12
- Attend Summer Fun Instructor Training (date/time TBD)
- Approach each shift with a positive attitude, willingness to help, and enthusiasm
- Confer with SCPA Activities Coordinator regarding needs, schedules and concerns
- Knowledge of the mission and core values of St. Croix Preparatory Academy
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, communicate, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and patience are all taken into consideration before hiring
- Help maintain the safety and security of students and facilities
- Complete/submit required reports (accident/injury, facilities, incident) to SCPA Activities Coordinator
- Monitor participants and ensure adherence to school/field trip rules and policies
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and/or injuries
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training as requested
- Assist in performing other administrative or comparable duties as assigned
- 20-30 Hours per week
- June 12- August 11 with no work week of July 3-7

St. Croix Preparatory Academy (SCPA) is seeking Program Instructors to provide Summer Fun programs to SCPA students during June-August 2023. These programs are supported by a one-time grant from MN Department of Education funds supporting students post-COVID.
