We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Appointment Scheduler to join our growing team.

The primary duties of this position will include:

• Schedule new patients, established patients, new conditions, post-surgical and re-examination appointments in the computer, either by phone or in person.
• Gather and evaluate information from patient or referring clinic to determine how soon the patient must be seen in accordance with clinic guidelines, consults medical personnel when necessary.
• Maintain effective working relationships with patients and clinic personnel in order to meet the needs of both parties.
• Comply with clinic policies and procedures on regular work attendance.
• Monitor physician schedules for proper balance of patients, and communicates any concerns to the supervisor or the appropriate physician.
• Handles patient/physician concerns in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
• Perform weekly assigned duties for the department.
• Follow up by phone or mail with patients who were not able to make their schedule appointment time.
• Contact other medical facilities for records, x-rays or other information needed for the appointment.
• Other duties as assigned

Excellent customer service and communication skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

A minimum of 1 year of clinic or hospital scheduling/receptionist experience is required, along with excellent attendance.
