Business Office Manager

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting and three (3) years’ experience in financial administration or any combination of experience, education or training which would provide the knowledge required by this position. Knowledge of long-term care preferred. Experience in Medicare and Medicaid billing, preferably long-term care.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Billing and collections of various financial classes, including but not limited to, Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Private.
· Discuss billing situations with residents and/or responsible parties.
· Stay current with intermediary procedural changes and Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
· Maintain accurate and timely records and reports, including all accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, etc.
· Maintain accurate census data.
· Maintain accurate posting of cash.
· Assist and complete Medicaid applications.
· Ensure claims are filed timely with third-party payers and cash flow is monitored and reported appropriately
· Insure private pay accounts are managed and collection calls are made timely every month
· Insure monthly reporting to Administrator, Finance Director/designee on all accounts 60 days or over
· Monitors aging report, receivables and conducts at minimum monthly reviews with members of the leadership team
