St. Clare Catholic School in North Palm Beach, FL is searching for a part-time music teacher for the 2024/25 school year.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PreK – 5th grade part-time Music Teacher to join our team beginning with the 2024/25 school year. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and have demonstrated success in teaching Music Education. The candidate will be responsible for school Mass music, various school performances throughout the school year, and directing the school choirs. The candidate should also demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, age-appropriate teaching strategies, and appropriate use of technology to enhance student performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued, respected, and supported.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support the overall success of the music program and the school community.
• Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily lessons and activities, promoting spiritual growth and character development.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate for Music Education, Elementary or eligibility. Preference will be given to the candidate with previous Catholic School teaching experience.
• Teaching experience preferred
• Active Catholic Preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and make responsible judgment calls.
• Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, departments heads, representatives of other agencies and the general public.
• Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capacity.

Physical Requirements

• Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds.
