We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Vascular Technologist (Sonography) to join our diagnostic imaging team. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing specialized ultrasound examinations focused on the vascular system. Your expertise in vascular imaging and meticulous attention to detail will contribute to accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care. Responsibilities: Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations to assess blood flow, identify vascular abnormalities, and evaluate the health of blood vessels using Doppler and duplex imaging techniques. Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, identifying normal and abnormal vascular structures, and provide detailed reports to physicians for further analysis and diagnosis. Ensure patient comfort and safety during ultrasound examinations, addressing their concerns, and utilizing appropriate positioning and imaging techniques for optimal image quality. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating repairs or maintenance as needed. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss cases, share findings, and ensure effective communication regarding patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed records of ultrasound examinations, patient information, images, findings, and recommendations, adhering to relevant regulatory and quality assurance standards. Adhere to established protocols and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable ultrasound examinations. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in vascular ultrasound technology and techniques, participating in continuing education activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Education: Possess a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Licenses/Certifications: Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (CCI) VS (ARRT) is required. Additional registry/registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARMDS) preferred. BLS required within 30 days of hire. #
