The Research Coordinator coordinates all aspects of clinical and community-focused research activities in a self-directed and efficient manner in order to serve multiple projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Works with principal investigators in the development and initiation of clinic trials and other research studies.
• Manages research contracts with multiple public, academic, and health care entities.
• Seeks external grant funding opportunities to develop innovative research programs which may benefit the organization and the region.
• Directs operation and financial management of research studies.
• Produces statistical information and reports to reflect activities.
• Collaborates with regional research partners and staff.
• Maintains primary responsibility and compliance of regulatory tasks associated with clinical research studies.
• Routinely has access to and knowledge of confidential, sensitive information requiring discretion and independent judgment and handles with discretion.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health, or Public Administration; Public Health; Social Science; Nursing; Education; or other related degree is required. Master’s preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years clinical trials and research experience in their field.

Licensure/Certification:

Human Subjects Protection Certification required. Society of Clinical Research Associates Certified Clinical Research Professional or Association of Clinical Research Professionals Certified Professional certification preferred.
