We are seeking a Lead Clinician who coordinates clinical services providing direct supervision to clinicians as they assess and evaluate residents' mental health and provide therapeutic counseling to individual clients, and groups. The Lead Clinician also provides ongoing staff training by providing updated information/best practice research and regulatory updates pertaining to human trafficking concerns and crisis intervention services.
·Stays updated on program policies, procedures, and regulations for efficient operation.
·Conducts comprehensive orientations for unaccompanied children (UCs) regarding program services and expectations.
·Supervises mental health assessments and aids in developing personalized treatment and crisis plans.
·Evaluates and adjusts therapy interventions and treatment plans based on effectiveness.
·Assists in preparing UCs and sponsors for post-custody transitions and supports counseling for visitation and release.
Requirements
·Completion of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, or related behavioral sciences with direct clinical practice prerequisites.
·Minimum of three years of relevant clinical or case management experience within a child welfare context.
·Required minimum of two years of supervisory experience demonstrating leadership, managerial, and program development skills.
·State licensure in psychology, counseling, or social work by the State of New York (NYS).
