Job Title	Floorcare Technician

Supervisor	Floorcare Supervisor
Job Objective	The Floorcare Technician, under the direction of the Floorcare Supervisor/Manager, performs floorcare functions to maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the facility for the health, comfort, and safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
FTE	Full- Time 2nd Shift
Job Standards	High school education or equivalent preferred Minimum of 1 year of related floor care experience, previous experience in a healthcare or residential facility desirable Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, directions, equipment manuals, schedules, policies, and procedures. Ability to work independently, with a team and in cooperation with others Ability and availability to work: Weekends not to exceed two per month Holidays not to exceed two per year Ability to work flexible hours to include, "on-call", weekends and/or holidays Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to know or learn how to use floor care and housekeeping equipment, economical use of supplies, care of equipment, and health care cleaning technique. Ability to safely perform all essential job functions without causing harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, which includes ability to: lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs., move objects or equipment on campus, set up rooms for special events, maintaining and storing of equipment, accomplish tasks and solve problems. Help other St. Camillus Departments with tasks including Housekeeping. Ability to safely perform and assist in essential functions with regard to fire safety, smoke alarms and resident wanderguard.
