- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous hospital or medical billing and collections experience preferred. Prior business training will be considered.

- Experience
- Previous medical office or hospital customer service experience preferred. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills will be considered if no previous medical office experience. Ability to work independently of others and exercise good judgment. Prior experience with a PC keyboard, 10 key calculator and other office equipment is necessary.

- Physical
- Normal hospital business office environment. Extremely close eye work with use of computer up to 8 hours a day. Hearing within normal range. Continuous sitting approximately 90% of the work day. Operates calculator, computer, copier and general office equipment. Occasional walking, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 15 pounds.

- JOB SUMMARY
- This position is responsible for answering the telephone, answering billing questions from patients, and insurance carriers, processing information requests, and general patient account functions. This position has contact with patients, employees, physicians, and other members of the community.
