About St. Athanasius School:

Located on the northeast side of Evanston, just down the street from Northwestern’s football and basketball stadiums (and just off the Metra and purple line L stops), St. Athanasius School, or St. A’s as it’s fondly known by our community, is a special place, one where we work together to foster community, faith, and academics. Our motto - Love, Learn, Lead - is central to our mission. Grades (K) 1 - 8 attend Mass together as a school community every Wednesday, and we come together PK-8 biweekly for a prayer assembly.

About St. Athanasius Staff:

Our wonderful teachers, aides, and support staff range in ages and experiences - we believe everyone has a unique voice to offer in our community, and we come together weekly as a staff for professional development opportunities and dedicated team time. Our school is divided into “units” - PK, JK & K; Unit A (1st & 2nd grade); Unit B (3rd & 4th grade); Unit C (5th & 6th grade); and Unit D (7th & 8th grade) . Our teachers meet and collaborate with their unit teams weekly. We also have a great team of specials teachers who bring art, music, PE, STEM, tech, library, and more to our students. We have a full-time counselor, a full-time assistant principal, and a resource teacher team to support teachers and students in math and reading/writing.

Experience in teaching Wilson, Fundations, and/or Heggerty is desired but not required.
