**Overview:**
St. Anthony Catholic School is a historic and picturesque VPK-8th grade Diocesan School located in San Antonio, Florida, about 35 minutes north of Tampa. We are seeking a K-8 music teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position with benefits.
We are seeking someone who consistently strives for what is best for his/her students, who is creative and collaborative, who never stops learning, and who wants to be a part of a team that has high expectations of themselves and their students while having a lot of fun in the process.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level II background screening and Safe Environment Training.
**Duties:**
- Develop and implement engaging music lessons for students of various ages and skill levels
- Instruct students on music theory, history, and performance techniques
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music program
- Organize and oversee music performances
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Florida teaching certificate or eligible to obtain one
- Previous experience teaching music to children in an elementary or middle school setting
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to educate students on a variety of musical genres and instruments
- Willingness to support the mission of a Catholic school
