Position: Early Head Start Teacher (Infant and Toddler Program) BIRTH-2 years old.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Type: Full-time (30-40 hours per week), Part-Time available

Pay: $22.50-$24.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

Diapering and Personal Care: Provide thorough and respectful diaper changes, maintaining a hygienic environment. Assist with dressing and personal care routines for infants and toddlers.

Lesson Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the developmental needs of children aged birth to 2. Focus on fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Environment Management: Create and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization within the classroom.

Parent Collaboration: Establish open and positive communication with parents and caregivers. Share information about each child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences.

Observation and Assessment: Conduct ongoing observations and assessments to track individual child development. Use findings to adjust teaching strategies and address individual needs.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least 3 Infant/Toddler course units.
  • Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in an early childhood education setting.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for children aged birth to 2 years.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
