1. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist students in finding suitable job openings and career opportunities.
• Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to help students overcome employment-related challenges.
• Help students to prepare for job interviews.
• Recommend effective job search techniques.
• Work with students to enhance their job skills.
• Address any concerns employers may have regarding the hiring of students with or without disabilities.
• Identify students’ strengths and advising them on how to use those strengths to secure employment or excel in their chosen career path.
• Provide information on suitable career paths based on students' skills, qualifications, interests, and experience.
• Conduct tests to assess students' skills and abilities and providing feedback on test results.
• Help students to develop job resumes and reviewing students' resumes and suggesting improvements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress.
• Liaise with employers to identify possible job opportunities for students with or without disabilities.
• Teach students how to use job-related tools, instruments, and equipment correctly.
• Coordinate job services with SAI CTE teacher.
• Assist CTE teacher with on-site job opportunities.
• Counsel students regarding all aspects of employment and record counseling session hours in the Awards Electronic Health Record system.
• Transport students to and from work sites.
• Abide by the NYS Justice Center Code and the SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics
• Complete additional duties as requested/required
