Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in the administration of medication and provide quality care to our patients.
Duties:
- Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare professional
- Document medication administration and patient response accurately in medical records
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs as directed
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients in various healthcare settings
Experience:
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital or nursing facility, is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records
- Previous caregiving experience, especially in hospice care, is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient care
