SSTAR is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) which affords our employees eligibility to apply for one of our three Loan Repayment Programs.
The Research Assistant works in conjunction with Harvard, Columbia, NYU, and Yale for a National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network CTN) funded study focused on opioid use disorder and medications for addiction.
Salary: $20.00/hour; full-time. Flexibility to work occasional evening hours is required.

Duties & Responsibilities
- The Research Assistant recruits, screens, and interviews study participants.
- Manages research data and collaborates with other study staff in related duties.
- The Research Assistant develops clinical and research skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Skills & Experience
- BA or BS in psychology/related field or related experience required.
- Flexibility to work occasional evening hours is required.
- Previous research experience is preferable, but not required.
- Knowledge of clinical research procedures and experience conducting diagnostic interviews is preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Motivated and able to work independently.
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning computer programs, databases, and online systems.
- Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of social, racial, and ethnic populations.
