SSTAR is Hiring a Program Coordinator, Intensive Outpatient Services Near River, MA

Job Description:

Specific Responsibilities:

The Coordinator of Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is responsible for clinical treatment and case management of Intensive Outpatient clients. This includes required documentation per Department of Public health regulations and agency Quality Assurance/Utilization Review standards.

  1. Provide clinical supervision to case managers, counselors, and other group leaders.
  2. Recruit, hire and train IOP staff.
  3. Facilitate groups in person or via zoom.
  4. Prepare group schedules.
  5. Facilitate IOP team, meetings.
  6. Attend and participate in ABH staff meetings and peer supervision.
  7. Link clients to appropriate services, such as primary care, transportation, psychiatric, as well as appropriate level of care.
  8. Provide counseling to clients including but not limited to treatment plans, recovery plans, crisis intervention, individual/family therapy and discharge planning.
  9. Act as liaison between agency, client and community resources, i.e., halfway houses, courts, probation Department of Social Services, 12-step programs, Rehabilitation Commission, Towne House, Transitional Assistance.
  10. Coordinate treatment with other concurrent providers such as therapists, physicians, replacement therapy programs.
  11. Complete recordkeeping and correspondence which includes individual treatment plans within first 2 days of client attendance, daily DAP format progress notes, necessary correspondence, treatment plan reviews
  12. Obtain insurance authorizations.
  13. Completes discharge summaries.
  14. Maintain compliance of record keeping including monitoring all documentation.
  15. Develop program curriculum and adjunct treatment and linking services.
  16. Other duties as required.

Experience and Skills:

Experience and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred; Bachelors or CADC Required
  • Experience with treatment of chemically dependent clients with co-occurring mental illness
  • Five years counseling experience
  • Ability to function effectively as a team leader.
  • Evidence of good physical/mental health and professional conduct
  • Direct care positions in addiction programs require two years of continuous sobriety for individuals in recovery.
