SST Direct is Hiring a Project Manager (Commercial Roofing) Near Hyattsville, MD

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our client, a well-established roofing contractor based in Hyattsville, MD. Our client is committed to preserving iconic buildings, commercial institutions, and residential homes with award-winning craftsmanship across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.. 
Salary is between $75,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!
In this role you will oversee roofing projects from inception to completion. As Project Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts, change orders, and pricing agreements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including field crews, subcontractors, and support staff, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, disruptions, and financial losses.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the roofing or comparable industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
