Are you an experienced operations manager with some injection mold experience? If so, the company is offering a great career opportunity as the manager of our Production Engineering - Molding department.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Providing leadership to the Production Engineering Molding Department, ensuring full functionality of the department, high quality output, and smooth operations with minimal downtime by:

· Managing the overall activities of the molding department including but not limited to production, processing, machine maintenance and tool maintenance and repair.

· Maintaining a safe working environment.

· Providing leadership through performance planning, on-going feedback, and recognition activities, ensuring clarity of expectations and achievement of departmental targets.

· Achieving department performance objectives (scrap, downtime, productivity, continuous improvement)

· Developing and implementing long- and short-term goals of the department

· Assuring compliance with all procedures, policies and work instructions.

· Supporting new tooling design and development.

· Leading daily communication meetings.

· Participating in cost down efforts by researching, testing and implementing new products.

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:

· 7-10 Years operations experience.

· 3 years management experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Previous experience working in a Lean environment.

· Strong financial acumen including an understanding of the budgeting process.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting pushing and pulling of equipment.

· May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

· General Office Environment: (3) hours per day

· Manufacturing Environment: (5) hour per day

· Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.

· Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

HAZARDS:

· Frequent exposure to moving or mechanical parts.

· Moderate noise levels with specific areas required to wear hearing protection.
