Position Description

This position will work closely with the design team to create detailed and accurate shop drawings used to define project scope, design intent and product installation. In addition to shop drawings, this position will provide design support by creating manufacturing drawings, project layout schematics, material takeoffs, and product installation instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings with a high level of accuracy based upon design drawings from the architect or drawings supplied by other consultants.
• Develop accurate plan views, elevations, section/detail cuts from a 3D model or architectural drawings for medium to large scale projects.
• Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail production drawings in conformance to industry CAD standards and practices.
• Setup, maintain and manage large project files.

Minimum Requirements

• 2-year associate degree in drafting design with at least 2 years experience in Architectural drafting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, minimum 2 years experience.
• Excellent understanding of 3D geometry and the ability to draw complex objects/surfaces.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Beneficial Skills

• Experience in other CAD software a plus (e.g., Revit, Inventor, Rhino, etc.)
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Understanding of survey point clouds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
