Job Details

Job Title: Third Party Risk Assessor

Location: Owings Mills, MD

Duration: 12 Months Contract Will Extend

Role Summary

  • Responsible for supporting supplier risk domain scoping and coordinating the collection of supplier evidence requests.
  • Role requires the ability to assess risk applicability to the services being provided as well as the interpersonal skills to work with our business and supplier contacts to collect the required evidence for risk assessment.
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting the inherent risk process in Supplier Risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Centralize due diligence evidence documentation of suppliers.
  • Assist and provide backup support to Supplier Risk Intake Manager.
  • Follow up with internal business partners to clarify nature of engagement, ensure requirements are fully gathered and validate data as needed.
  • Monitor progression of required re-reviews and follow up with Engagement Managers as needed to avoid escalation.
  • Monitor Supplier Management mailbox to assist with record maintenance and various inquiries related to risk due diligence.
  • Monitor data integrity of Supplier and Engagement Manager roles and follows up with business partners to obtain replacements as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 2 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience
  • Experience performing supplier risk assessments, audit, or control reviews, preferably in a supplier oversight capacity.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and analytical skills; ability to question / probe
  • Ability to objectively recommend well-reasoned courses of action
  • Demonstrates self-initiative and self-motivation while possessing experience in successfully working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to establish strong working relationships with and influence upward
  • Strong project management skills; organized and detail oriented.
