The development and maintenance activity predominantly uses COBOL, IMS, DB2, and CICS. About the Team ¿As a Senior Mainframe Engineer, you will work with a talented PACCAR mainframe team that supports some of the most critical processes within the company for building medium and heavy duty trucks across North America. Job Responsibilities This position will: ¿ Work with customers to define, design and propose alternative solutions in response to changing business needs. ¿ Work with customers to troubleshoot reported issues. ¿ Provide system administration support. ¿ Must be able and willing to work weekends and evenings to support on call responsibilities as needed is required. Required Experience & Skills ¿ Five years software engineering experience including code development, scripting, workflow and data mapping. ¿ Five years mainframe support experience: COBOL, IMS (DB), DB2, CICS, JCL ¿ Advanced computer system skills including use of word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. ¿ Strong verbal/written communication skills. ¿ Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or as a team member. ¿ Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills. ¿ PACCAR systems experience a plus Education (List required and/or preferred education) ¿ A four year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired.
