Key Duties/Responsibilities

This position will rotate general laborer positions including scaler, block handler, and Patty stacking person for breaks and lunches or as directed.

• Completes tasks for the job that this position is rotating into for a short period of time
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area 
• Performs other related duties as requested
• Must be able to work 2nd shift hours 4:30pm to 3:00 am 

Scaler

• Check and adjust box weights as needed
• Ensure plastic liners completely and securely cover the completed care prior to taping
• May conduct box count checks
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and operation.

Block Handler

• Move cases from the pallet to the microwave infeed belt following safe lifting guidelines 
• Remove liner and push the block into position to feed grinder

Patty Stacker

• Sorting patties as they come down the conveyor belt 
• stacking frozen hamburger patties 

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Basic math, language, and reading skills
• Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly
• 6 month prior warehouse experience and/or related food industry work
•  1-2 year continuous work history.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to maintain a single task focus and situational awareness
• Must be able to move and lift up to 60-pound wooden skid or pallet
• Able to work in a cold refrigerated environment for up to 10 hours.
