For over 40 years, our philosophy has been a simple one: we strive to meet our customer’s needs and exceed their expectations, and we’re looking for the right person who can help us professionally coordinate online and in-person technical training events, assist in management of our customer appreciation events, support vendor design projects and elevate our social media platforms.
Overview Of RoleThis enthusiastic and highly organized individual must have excellent customer service, a strong positive attitude towards teamwork, Office Suite computer skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus. This position requires the ability to speak and write concisely, manage tasks that contribute to the overall success of SSF’s technical training program, social media presence, and vendor supported design tasks. Occasionally ship materials to sales team/remote employees, organize/attend customer events and interact with customers and vendors by telephone, email and in-person.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with marketing team, vendors and industry trainers to schedule and execute training events (both online and in-person) in coordination with the company marketing strategy.
  • Manage online training platform and assist customers with the training registration process, send attendees all pertinent training information prior to event and manage logistics before/during training events.
  • Learn, intimately understand and elevate our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Plan and execute social media calendar, collaborating with vendors and customers to grow followers, including multiple posts per week.
  • Research venues for SSF hosted events, manage Eventbrite platform, invites to vendors, organize promotional materials sent from vendors to respective warehouses, develop internal company agenda and provide on-site support for company events.
  • Travel to event space to invite customers in advance and travel the week of each scheduled event to manage on-site.
  • Assist with design projects such as sales flyers, company magazine, customer incentives, training materials, etc.
  • Keep sales team informed of upcoming training, marketing developments and events through bi-weekly meetings.
  • Manage design and shipping of company branded promotional items to entire organization via nearest SSF warehouse following the budget set annually by Director.
  • Support Purchasing and Product Management Department with product related inquires, identification, etc.
  • Support Digital Content Team with adhoc product photography requests.
Qualifications
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Thorough Understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Design experience in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
  • A history of friendly interactions with customers and vendors
  • Strong customer service skills and positive attitude as a team player
  • A willingness to learn, support and execute as a team
Required Computer Skills
  • Office Suite: Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, PowerPoint, Adobe
Physical Demands
  • Repetitive use of hands and arms
  • Eye strain from continual computer use
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
