Description :

The Transfer Truck Driver operates a tractor-trailer for a regional route and works independently to load and unload the trailer at each branch.

The Transfer Truck Driver also takes initiative to provide general maintenance and up-keep of their delivery vehicle, performs daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment, and adheres to all DOT compliance requirements to ensure a positive relationship between the DOT and our company. Class A CDL required.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions :

• Ensure the delivery of products and services
• Load and unload the trailer in a safe and efficient manner
• Understand logistical routes throughout the company
• Work independently but able to communicate effectively with department leads and branches on all job related matters
• Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives
• Maintain a high standard of driving performance
• Maintain compliance with all Department of Transportation requirements
• Follow processes and procedures in place for effective job performance
• Participate in company process improvements and initiatives

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23 to $29 per hour. SRS / Heritage considers multiple factors including job related knowledge, skillset and experience when determining the final salary.
