Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist will perform radiographic (X-ray) imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of injuries and disease, as well as serve as a medical assistant. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Sciences, and a Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT) license or Non-Certified Radiologic Technicians (NCTs) in Texas. The ideal candidate should also possess previous medical clerical experience, front desk/receptionist, basic computer knowledge, accuracy and detail orientation, positive customer service skills, and the physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach and bend, and periodically lift and move items of no more than ten (10) pounds. The work environment is in an indoor healthcare environment with a moderate noise level, and there is a potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and diseases with a requirement to wear appropriate PPE.
Essential Functions:
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
· Familiarize yourself with and follow internal office procedures and protocols.
. Assist in insurance eligibility verification at front desk.
· Manage office procedure, files, and records.
· Register and prepare patients for examinations.
· Assist the physician during examinations.
. Assist in DOT physicals, UDS collection, BAT etc (DOT certification preferred)
· Administer injections.
· Phlebotomy
· Call in prescriptions to pharmacies if needed.
· Explain medical procedures to patients.
· Schedule appointments if needed.
· Measure and record vital signs.
· Answer phone calls
· Identify abnormal test results and immediately bring it to medical provider’s attention.
· Promote quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction.
· Effectively participate in planning and preparing for patient visits
· Room patients, perform appropriate hearing and vision testing, EKG, spirometry, point of care testing, specimen collection, equipment cleaning/reprocessing, and other requested procedures.
· Prepare and stock rooms and clinic supplies.
· Assist with routine and specialty procedures.
· Schedule patients for follow up appointments or referrals if needed.
· Perform telephone messaging and in-person screening.
· Respond to emergency situations.
· Respect and maintain privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
