SR Technologies (SRT) is expanding and we're looking for a Platform Software Engineer to join our team! We’re headquartered in Sunrise, FL where we provide highly competitive satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular technologies and services to our government, law enforcement, and commercial customers. Key Responsibilities of the Platform Software Engineer Include:

• Work with hardware prototypes and associated lab test equipment.
• Integrate current Linux kernel versions and associated patches.
• Utilize experience with Linux or Unix Internals programming with device driver development.
• Platform/SOC porting and/or integration.
• System optimization.
• Scripting in Linux/Unix C code.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 3 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Linux device driver development experience.
• Familiarity with u-boot internals.
• Linux architecture/Kernel internals knowledge.
• Embedded/Real-time Systems experience.
• Familiarity with C/C development.
• Debug environment experience.

Familiarity with the following technologies and capabilities:

• Embedded SOC platforms (ARM Based system like NVIDIA, NXP, etc).
• SMP systems.
• TCP/IP Internals.
• WIFI drivers and associated hardware.
• Knowledge of file system internals.
• Drivers for custom FPGA logic.
• Basic IO buses including (I2C, SPI, USB, PCI-E, etc).
